Community Manager Intern

Location: Kansas City, MO | Hybrid
Compensation: $500 per season
Season Duration: May – November 15, 2025

What You Get Beyond the Paycheck:

  • Hands-On Experience: From content creation to covering live events, you’ll learn on the job and see direct outcomes from your work.

  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with local artists, community leaders, and like-minded creatives who are invested in social justice and the arts.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

  • Daily Social Media Engagement: Post on our platforms every day using our organized content calendar—you’ll keep it updated and creative.

  • Event Coverage: Capture photos and short videos at most No Divide KC events. Don’t worry, we’ll prep you with all the tips and tricks!

  • Weekly Creative Check-Ins: Meet with our team every week to plan and review social media content.

  • Active Online Presence: Follow and engage with local artists and organizations to build a buzzing, supportive community.

  • Content Creation: Use Canva and video editing apps (like CapCut or InShot) to craft fresh, appealing content that resonates with our audience.

What You’ll Need (Non-Negotiable)

  • Tech Essentials: A phone with a camera and access to a computer for posting, designing, and scheduling.

  • Basic Digital Skills: Familiarity with Canva and video editing tools. (Don’t worry if you’re just starting out—we’ll help you level up!)

  • Availability: Expect to spend around 5 hours a week on social media tasks, plus additional hours to attend and cover events—we’ll share the schedule in advance so you can plan ahead!
